Mark Sardella Speaking Tonight at Rio Chama Steakhouse

I'll be giving a 20-minute talk at the Rio Chama Steakhouse tonight as part of the Green Drinks networking series, so if you live in Santa Fe I hope you will come out. Note that there is a $10 cover and RSVP requested. Details are also posted online here.

I'll give an update on energy issues in our community, including some tips on how Santa Fe can adopt the best practices being developed in Europe and Canada to deal with rising energy costs and declining supplies of oil and gas. As always, it involves harvesting energy from local, renewable sources and having it delivered by locally owned, independent businesses!

When: Tuesday, July 29th at 6:30 p.m.
Where: Rio Chama Steakhouse, 414 Old Santa Fe Trail

Mark Sardella on KUNM Call-In Show April 17

I will be a guest on the KUNM Call-In Show with Arcie Chapa this Thursday, April 17th from 8-9 a.m. Tecton Energy and other companies are hoping to drill for oil and gas in New Mexico's pristine Galisteo Basin, and Santa Feans are up in arms.

I co-founded Local Energy in 2003 to help Santa Fe wean itself from oil and gas for this exact reason. Consuming finite resources is a finite endeavor, and the end game is messy. Community energy is the answer, and I'll explain how we can get there.

Please call the show and ask me a question if you want to: 505-277-5866 or toll free 1-877-899-5866
